The LABCI Paraguay organising committee is pleased to invite you to participate in our XX International Conference.

Our world is changing faster than ever and now the ELT world is facing both the challenges and opportunities brought by the development of powerful AI technologies, as well as the growing availability of those technologies across the globe. As Latin-American British Cultural Institutes, we would like to reflect on how to navigate this technological boom in a way that allows for human development and maintains a humane approach to education and language teaching. Therefore, we have agreed that the theme for this year Conference is “Human-centric approaches in the AI Era”.

Proposals to offer talks, workshops and exhibitions in any of the following areas are welcomed:

• Rediscovering humanism amidst the Artificial Intelligence revolution
• Changes in assessment in the face of Artificial Intelligence
• Using AI in the classroom
• Lesson Planning Using Backward Design
• Making the process of learning a new language enjoyable
• Meaningful classes, teaching and learning
• Reflective Teaching
• Peer Observation as Professional Growth
• ADHD students and ADHD teachers
• Teachers’ Wellbeing

Please understand that not all submissions will be selected. The proposals will be assessed by an academic committee formed specifically for this event and then the 20th LABCI Team will select from among those with favourable ratings the ones that are most appropriate for this occasion.
